I think you have to like art or Dali to come here. Loads of his paintings and art work - interesting to try to get into his mind! He was quite a character.

Amazing personal collection. Not as vast as the museum in Florida. Has many unusual things. It is not a very busy place so you can feel free to take your time and look around. The gift shop is sparse -- too bad.

I had low expectations:L dod not think much of Dali.
But it was actually very good: a huge collection, avd he was more interesting and more diverse than I had realised .

My wife and I were on our way to the Monterey Art Museum when we came upon this building with posters advertising the Salvador Dali exhibit. We were impressed with the size of the collection, apparently amassed by a local entrepreneur. Particularly interesting were the written guides that explained his technique and his life at the time many of these works were executed.

This museum has an excellent and vast collection of Salvador Dali works of art! Lots of great new insight into the artist and the man. I thoroughly enjoyed this museum! It's located right on the Monterey Wharf so easy to visit while at the wharf. Self parking is available for a minimal cost.

Well displayed, expansive collection of etchings, lithographs and sculptures of Salvador Dali. Definitely adult content; I would not expose minors to some of the artwork. The collection is displayed over two floors.

My artist girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Dali Museum. Most people who are casually acquainted with his work are familiar with pieces such as the Melting Clock. Dali definitely had a very dark side, and some may be surprised at the numerous warning signs about the potential inappropriateness of some pieces to younger visitors.
The admission is steep. At least on a cold January day, there was plenty of room to roam. If one has questions, a docent is readily available to assist. All in all a must visit for anyone with a true appreciation for art.

Lots of diverse work by Dali. Some hitherto insights unrevealed . Well worth the price of admission. This man is a prolific mad genius!

I visited the exhibition on two occasions and was awe stricken by the depth and breadth of its portrayal of the unusual life and creative genius of Dali, an incredible colossus of modern art. The experience was greatly enhanced by the guided tour offered by the extremely knowledgeable, helpful and charming docent Irene Krasner who made every single detail come to life. Each visit enriches me. As a result I plan on coming back often in order to deepen my understanding and appreciation for the painter and its work.
We are really lucky to have the exhibit in Monterey.

Very nice job with the exhibit. Excellent selection of unique Dali pieces. Perfect location next to Monterey Pier. I especially liked the tapestries and sculptures. Highly recommended.
