Hello, Los Campesinos sounds lovely. In case we're too chicken to use the suspension bridges, though, can we still enjoy the falls and paths and swim a bit? Thanks for clarifying.

Not really a question, but a suggestion for potential visitors (I didn’t want to write a negative review of the resort, since it seems lovely). My statement is this: the long waterfall suspension bridge is VERY LONG, VERY HIGH and only supported by two cables. It swings and moves above the canyon as others walk. I’m sure it’s safe. But I would suggest to those with any history of acrophobia that this isn’t the activity for you. I had a full-fledged panic attack in the center of the bridge, which my guide (not affiliated with the resort) refused to take seriously. I finally made my way slowly back to the start and wasn’t able to take part in the swimming on the far side. This is my own condition, and not that of the lodge, but I feel compelled to include it as something to consider for visitors.

Hi there - I'm trying to figure out how to do a day trip to Los Campesinos and see that you were able to do so .. how did you book travel? Did you rent your own car or were you able to find a tour company that picked you up and dropped you off? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Hello - My family and I will be visiting Quepos area in August 2018 and I'm hoping for us to go to Los Campesinos. I have few questions that I haven't been able to find answers to and I"m hoping to find the answers here. I was wondering if we need to make reservations ahead of time, or can we just drive to it and pay entrance fee if we want to spend a day exploring? Should we plan to spend the whole day here? Is there food available for purchase (I've read other reviews that mention natives preparing lunches). Someone mentioned spice tour along the way. Would anyone have more info on this? Thanks so much! Is a guide recommended or is it easy enough to go through by yourself?

Does the reserve offer shuttle service to and from by any chance? We really really want to do this but we won't have a car and we are trying not to overspend. A lot of the tours we've researched are very expensive. We are looking for some alternative options that will be good. Any help would be great!
