Loved my experience kayaking and snorkeling. Locals that really know the area and give you a great time and information you won’t find anywhere else. If you are debating who you should book an excursion with you absolutely should book here.

Very lucky to see a pod of humpback 🐋 🐳. Also bottlenose dolphins, and excellent snorkeling at the end. Our guide and boat captain were terrific. Plenty of cold beverages always on offer, and fresh watermelon and pineapple after snorkeling. Whales can't be guaranteed, so don't go with that expectation.

We did the Let’s Get Local tour, and it was such a great cultural experience! Luis was a wonderful guide and we learned a lot about Costa Rica. We visited a beautiful waterfall and spent a little time there relaxing. The lunch with a local family on their farm was so delicious and with an amazing view!! They made such great food!!! And there was plenty of it! Learning about how the coffee is harvested and produced the old way and the new way was very educational. The coffee brewed in the Vandola was soooo good! And we loved making tortillas! Overall this was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our trip! If you are in Samara or Carillo then it is worth arranging this tour!

My family loved the variety of activities: kayaking, snorkeling and hanging out on the small sandy beach on Chora Island, watching hermit crabs and iguanas.

We had a very enjoyable morning and were fortunate to see many dolphins, a couple of whales and a turtle! Based on the tour description we expected that snorkelling would figure more prominently but we’re told we would go if time allowed. Fortunately it did or we would have been very disappointed. Please note that masks and snorkels were provided but no fins.

Good activity for whale and dolphin watching. The water was calm for the snorkeling adventure, but basically nothing to see. Beautiful area.

We booked a few excursions through Book with Maria. We had a wonderful experience kayaking the Ora River mangroves with Luis from @tico.experience. He was a wonderful guide, pointing out the flora and fauna of the river - we even saw some baby crocodiles! It was a very nice kayak to a lovely beach spot where we had some fresh fruit and enjoyed the views.
That same afternoon, we had booked the kayak and snorkel to Chora Island with Luis again. There were 2 other couples booked on this tour as well. It was a nice kayak out to Chora island with some nice snorkeling - smallish area to snorkel and a few other tour companies were there but it did not feel too crowded on the beach or in the water.
Luis was even kind enough to pull over when there were monkeys ahead in a tree so I could take some photos as I had not seem them yet on our trip.
We then went to Arenal a few days later with the same guide and had a wonderful time visiting the hanging bridges and seeing sloths/monkeys/other wildlife. We were grateful to Maria's company for helping us book our tours.
She also helped to arrange our transport from Samara to Las Catalinas.
That same afternoon, we had booked the kayak and snorkel to Chora Island with Luis again. There were 2 other couples booked on this tour as well. It was a nice kayak out to Chora island with some nice snorkeling - smallish area to snorkel and a few other tour companies were there but it did not feel too crowded on the beach or in the water.

Super easy to book online and nice to have an online payment option too!
Snorkel trip was lovely - pick up service was right on time and was a small group of 6 of us. Kayak trip was easy - not too many waves getting in and out on either side. The island had lots of shade for lounging and snorkeling was very nice. We swam by a huge sea turtle, a fair amount of fish, and an electric blue star fish.
Nice to have the drinks and fruit on the island. Friendly guide!

Guides were friendly. Picked us up from the hotel. Fresh pineapple and water. Took a while to find dolphins but they found them even though it extended the tour.

Such a fantastic experience! Our guides were punctual and extremely knowledgeable. The boat was very clean and well equipped.
We were a group of 13 people, ranging in ages 4-64.
Spotted dolphins were found within a short while and we had a chance to snorkel near the end of the trip.
I highly recommend this excursion.
Booking with Maria was very easy using WhatsApp the week before.
