Janet’s communication is excellent and if you have Whats App, even better! We went for tuna and Mahi Mahi/ marlín in the afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend afternoon fishing for these top-water fish as we quickly found out they bite in the morning only. However the captain was good to take us to a reef for grouper at 100 deep and we caught a LOT of grouper and redfish. They hit and clean them and prepare the way you want them (fillets, whole fish for bbq, etc). Crew don’t speak much English but you’ll get by with basic Spanish. If you are not four people you will need to find your own people to fill the boat as they do not do this for you. Overall a great experience and great memories!

Fantastic half day out on the water deep sea fishing with Samara Deep Sea Fishing. Highly recommend!

Great day on the water!
First time deep sea fishing for me and it was a great experience. Sun, water, fish and drinks for everyone. Our crew was friendly and prepared for the day.
We caught 7 Mahi Mahi and a large Sail Fish that fought hard and ended up self releasing.
They did a beautiful job of cleaning the fish on the boat in between our catches which wasn’t long 😉🎣🙌🏼
Would recommend a day out with Samara Deep Sea Fishing while in Samara Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Bonus: dolphins were surrounding out boat for a good portion of the trip. Turtles were also spotted twice! Overall beautiful time.

We were very happy with the crew. Well stocked cooler and they worked hard to find and keep us on fish. We saw literally thousands of dolphins. We hooked 8 Mahi Mahi and landed 7 with more chasing lines and spotted. Next time in Samara I will do another trip with them.

Sámara deep sea fishing is a great choice when in Sámara I have been out at least 10 times and caught fish 7 out of 10 times great boats professional crew and never give up always chasing the fish

We booked a sunset cruise for 6 and a fishing trip for 3 with Samara deep sea fishing -they should stick with fishing. My husband and sons enjoyed that and caught some good fish. The sunset cruise was a complete waste of money First of all the captain seemed surprised there were 6 of us going. He had no plan for where to take us, he literally drove the boat around in wide circles waiting for the sun to set, after one engine quit he realized they were low on gas, so we sat idle waiting for someone to bring us gas. Then as it got dark very quickly after sunset they sped into shore entirely too fast. In addition as we were driving around in circles the first mate fished off the back to which the captain literally told us they were catching both dinner for their family that night and bait fish for whoever they were taking out on a fishing trip the next day
It was a disappointment and a waste of money. If you have ever been on a relaxing sunset cruise while vacationing on an island you will be terribly disappointed in the version offered by Samara Deep Sea fishing

I scheduled a 3/4 day trip w/ Samara Deep Sea Fishing on July 18th...what started out as a bit slow turned into an EPIC day on the ocean. Capt. Helber, Vin and Moises were a phenomenal crew and did everything to help ensure we caught something. We probably went out as far as 50 Miles, even though typical deep sea is only around 20 miles....once we finally found the fish, we saw Yellowfin jumping out of the water, 100s of birds, and several schools of dolphins (flipper, not Mahi Mahi)...that only enhanced the experience. We finally hooked a very large yellowfin tuna and after 30 minutes of wrangling, we finally landed it!!! It was about 35 kg (or somewhere between 75 and 80 pounds).
Once we got it on the boat, the crew helped get it cleaned up for some fantastic photo shots and then filleted the tuna on the way back to shore, and prepped some of it for fantastic sashimi w/ lemon, lime and soy for an incredible PM snack!
We didn't get back to shore until 4:00 PM which is technically a Full Day, but they didn't charge me anything extra for the additional 2 hours on the water :). Maybe b/c I left them with most of the tuna!

One shed load of Big Eye tuna amidst thousands of spinner dolphins.
The Captain put us on the meat in a spectacular setting. Whether fishing is your thing or not, this was by far the best thing that we did when in Samara. Worth every penny

Helber got me on a striped Marlin for my 40th birthday. I have fished with many captains and this was by far the best experience!! Thanks Again!!

We offer deep sea fishing full day for $700, or 3/4 day for $600. We also have a full day inshore fishing for $650 or half day for $500. We include drinks, fruit, sandwiches, supplies and fish cleaning.
