We found an awesome little cafe there called Cafe Home in the Giovanni Boutique Suites. Superb Barista coffee, great food and music. Ive gone back several times now. #lovecafehome

Having lived in this area for several years I fully understand the potential it had. Unfortunately, many projects in Sports City have fallen by the wayside whilst other areas in Dubai have prospered. Personally, I put it down to bad management in the past. I just hope the future management of Sports City have the capacity to fulfil the original vision for the area.

Dubai Sports City, when conceived, was meant to be a mega-sports facility, housing stadia and holding numerous events through the year. The demand for housing in this area too was impressive, owing to the facilities being planned for residents.
The economic slowdown, however, took its toll, with many plans having to be scaled down or revised, with many apartments not finding takers. Today, Sports City still boasts of a Spanish Football Academy, ICC Headquarters and ICC Academy, a Golf Course and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which is the highlight of the area.
The homes are well-constructe, both villas and apartments. City Centre Maisem is the nearest mall, while there is a bus service from Mall of the Emirates, which connects it to the Metro, though the frequency is low. Apart from when there is a cricket match on, there does not seem to be much life in the neighbourhood.

Great stadium in the sports city internationally recognized arena for cricketing stars. Met the genius Yuvraj Singh and the Legend Shahid Afraid personally. Great state of art ambience and facility to watch the game with sheer luxury in the Royal Box area A zone. Thank you to Els club team for the amazing catering and hospitality services. Great food selection and excellent five star standard service

I told you that last year. DSC Canal is ready for water lovers. You can visit DSC and explore beauty of water canal. It’s filled up by water. Best place to live in Dubai.

Oh wow!! What a place to enjoy the thriller between India and Bangladesh.This stadium is a part of Dubai Sports City and was a perfect place to watch this event. Getting there was hassle free with ample taxis available. Very well maintained field, superb lighting and good facilities in terms of hospitality. We even had pleasure of having beer while watching the match what I never expected in UAE. May be it was available only in the premium, platinum and VIP sections. Food and beverages were reasonably priced with a wide variety to choose from. The atmosphere was electrifying. We had a great time there and will definitely visit again for any special event in future.

We visited the cricket stadium for the india bangladesh asia cup finals . wow what an awesome time we had .
The place and entries are divided into parts as per your ticketing preferences and so is the parking. The venue and security is managed fabulously by the local authorities , multiple check points and place buzzing with Security personnel . The seating is very comfortable and very clean . Food stalls and washrooms are ample. You have licensed hawkers as well selling all types of food stuff and water , each one has a badge hung to their necks , thus making your worry on the hygiene disappear. We saw a day night match and the lights were not at all pricky to the eye. Electrifying atmosphere with 2 big screens , huge speakers with DJ playing music at every small break or bowling batting change . The whole atmosphere was that of a huge party . The field was lush green and well maintained . The pitch was a bit slower than usual but it gave us a tight close match.Taxis and shuttle buses are abundantly available and well controlled as well. Only issue we had was finding seats in the shaded area which was not divided equally amongst the fans.
FINALLY India won the thrilling finals , and all kudos to the well maintained stadium .

If you are sports lover, This is a good place to visit. But It also provides residential, retail, leisure and recreational facilities in Dubai. It is located at Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.

Went to a musical concert at The Dome located in Dubai Sports City.The surrounding area outside of the Dome was very clean and attractive,however the Dome resembled a giant sized tent and was very ordinary looking both inside and outside.Unless necessary,would not really care to visit same again.

An area of Dubai with loads of sports(!) activities to offer - as well as a price friendly place to find accommodation.
Cricket stadium, Autodrome (with newly opened hotel), Cartdrome in- and outdoor. Soccer club (Spanish Soccer Shool), FitRepublik - high end fitness center). Grocery stores, golf courses nearby (Els in Victory Heights). Schools (plenty). Easily accessible (mostly).
