You can have a demonstration of all the organic, natural colours dyes used in their beautiful weaving cotton textiles.
The shop is amazing in choice: mainly shawls and scarves of the highest quality.
85% goes directly to each weaver, each item is signed and the price is very reasonable.
You will have problems to choose!! And you are supporting gifted artists and traditional weavers in the San Juan la laguna community

Visitamos el pueblo, la calle principal muy linda, la mayoría de guías muy buenos, hacía años que no visitaba el pueblo h esta hermoso. Los precios de los productos que venden en algunas cooperativas son bastante elevados. Se que quieren rescatar la artesanía pero si es bastante elevado

Tous les jours de 7h à 17h il y a des LANCHA (PUBLICO). organisées par uneassociation de lancheros. comme son nom l'indique le prix est (publique). de 15 quetzals avant le covid ce prix est maintenant passé à 20 Q.. soit un peu plus de 2 euros. Ces lanchas desservent toutes les villes autour du lac. Frisson garanti les jours de vent car le lac est plus "remuant" mais les lancheros connaissent bien leur travail.
N'allez pas dépenser une fortune en lancha privée ou autre tour.. ce mode de transport public suffit pour se dépayser et passer un moment insolite.

We booked a coffee and culture tour of San Juan during our honeymoon at Lake Atitlan. We really enjoyed this experience getting a closer look at the Guatemalan culture and way of life of the local people. We toured San Juan and got to see the process behind chocolate, textiles, coffee, bees, and herbal medicine. The trip was entertaining and educational! Our guide was excellent and patient with us as the trip went a little longer than planned. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Si usted va a Guatemala vaya a conocer el lago Atitlan y de un paseo en bote. Vale 10 quetzales y hay de todo, hay botes muy seguros y hay otros en donde es mejor pensarlo dos veces, ya esto es su decisión pero sin duda alguna va a observar un paisaje increíble

Wir machten mit Jorge von Atitlan Adventure Tours eine Mountainbike Tour von Tununa nach San Pedro dem Lago Atitlan entlang. Alles über Whatsapp organisiert, stand Jorge auch pünktlich mit unseren einwandfreien Rädern bereit. Die Fahrt selbst ist leicht hügelig und bietet immer wieder tolle Aussichten auf den See und die umliegenden Dörfer und Vulkane. Unterwegs besuchten wir alle Dörfer. Auch für einen erfrischenden Badestopp war noch Zeit. Insgesamt ein toller 4 stündiger Ausflug, sehr empehlenswert.

Morei na Guatemala de 2009 a 2011 e estive algumas vezes no Lago e, em todas as vezes aquela vista me surpreendeu!!! Aquela vista de cima de quem está chegando no lago é de deixar qualquer um de boca aberta! Aquelas montanhas, vulcões é um lago magnífico ao centro são uma composição sem igual na natureza. Eu que sou brasileiro, um país sem vulcões, estar ali é realmente para guardar para o resto da vida!! Recomendo a todos caminhar pela cidade à noite procurando um lugar bacana para sentar e apreciar a atmosfera local!!!

This is an amazing place. The ride is long but beautiful. The little towns around are unique and deserve some time to visit. That is why I would not recommend the one day tour. I would recommend that you stay at Atitlan for at least two days. I made the mistake of getting a one day tour and it was a little bit of a disaster. It rained and the roof of the boat almost fell on us. We got all wet on the way to their towns. Once there, the rain kept pouring in and we didn't have any umbrellas. Yet I am still giving it high marks because it's a great place to visit though not just for a day. Anything could happen and then you could just end up wasting part of your time.

I highly recommend taking a tour with Thomas. He is an excellent source of information about the local Mayan comunity and history. We toured several of the villages and I saw many things I would have missed on my own. Including a Mayan prayer ritual.
Normally I travel around places like this alone but the boat schedule was confusing so I decided to go with Thomas. I am very glad I did. It was an amazing day!

The boat tour of the Lake also includes visits to three small villages, where we were taken to the studio of the women weavers of San Juan La Laguna. There they gave a demonstration of weaving and dying yarns. There was also a visit to a village herbal garden, where they make medicines for the community.
The next village I just had a local beer at a lakeside cafe.

Hi I hope to help you with your tour on the lake Atitlan we have service of tours start from Antigua at 5:30 am and you will arrive in Panajachel at 8:20 aproximatly you will have an hour to havce breabkfast after breabfast you will take a boat to visit 3 villages around the lake (san Juan, San Pedro and Santiago Atitlan you will return to Panajachel at 3: 00 pm and you will have an hour in Panajachel and at four take a shuttle to back Antigua.
