Went away with my boyfriend for my birthday, stayed for two nights. It was absolutely amazing, we both loved it. We also did an Alpaca trekk which was so lovely too. The views are amazing actually being in the field with the alpacas is such a one-of-a-kind experience! Both Dean and Karen are so welcoming and caring hosts. We will 100% be coming back. Thank you so much you two.

I was with my son and two granddaughters and we had an amazing time. We had Arthur and Peoni between the four of us, both gorgeous and very well behaved!! We were near the front and Dean was leading the group. He was so knowledgeable about Alpacas and I learnt so much!! We loved every minute and hopefully will be back! I'm considering the Glamping too!

We had a great time here, the Alpacas are great very friendly and the kids cannot wait to come back. My daughter invited two friends for a birthday treat and they all had a fabulous time. Thankyou

Firstly I would like to begin by saying I have given this a 3 because the alpacas are so well cared for, you can see how much they are loved and how happy they are.
The tents are also really lovely and the location is perfect
BUT
I have never met such a horrible rude host on any of my holidays or nights away
I fully take responsibility that we booked 2 tents for 2 Separate families which is not allowed but we genuinely didn’t realized we had done anything wrong until we were told “you are lucky I’ve not asked you to Leave”
I feel I need to explain this was done innocently.
The tents sleep 6 so my 2 friends, myself and 3 of our children originally booked making 6 of us. Our circumstances changed and one of our older children asked to come with us so we just booked another tent without thinking.
We checking in and got unpacked, I was shown our tent by the lady and my friend the other by her husband who actually said my wife is like a Rottweiler so make sure you pay your deposit asap !!!!
Once we had unpacked the lady came over And spoke to us in such a rude horrible way my friend actually cried. We were told she had been watching us and it was apparent we knew one another, how she spoke to us was so awful she basically said because we was 2 different families we had planned to just get drunk and let our kids run wild. She said
If I hear any noise after 10pm you will be asked to leave, if you move anything between the 2 tents you will be asked to leave, any problems and you have up go.
I understand this is based on past experiences from guests but we are 3 40 year old woman looking for a relaxing night away not the loud drunken louts she obviously thought we was.
We was that on edge the whole time we made the kids sit in the tents from 9.30 and go to bed at 10pm, we darnt let them and us sit out side like we had planned.
We also found out she had told other guests we had booked together and shouldn’t have which I find very unprofessional
We was so frightened of being removed from the site and the kids being upset.
In the morning we was aware she was coming to get the alpacas for a walk so we left earlier than planned.
Once again I admit it was our mistake but this could have been handled much better.
We spent the whole time telling the kids to be quiet, not bring anything from the other tent and like I said previously we was on edge the whole stay.
When we left we was so worried we wouldn’t get our deposits back because we had unintentionally broke the rules but thankfully we did.
My advice is if you visit here the animals are wonderful but do not upset the host
As i said even her own husband described her as a Rottweiler we thought he was joking but he was evidentially 100% serious which we sadly found out during our stay x

Wow!
What a personal attack
We do not accept multiple tent bookings and on arrival you were asked if you were together and you replied NO
It then became evident that you were so I had to come and have a chat and let you know that we don’t take bookings that are related in any way due to disturbance caused in the past
In no way was I rude
All campers are asked not to move any furniture around anyway and are all told that it’s quiet time at 10pm as per our terms and conditions to try to keep our site a peaceful and relaxing place
These rules were reiterated to you in a calm and respectful manner to make you aware of them
I did not behave in the way you said and my husband never said those words about me .
You lied to us about the booking and the points made in your review are also lies
If we really acted in this way with customers then we wouldn’t have received the Trip Advisor Award for the last 4 years .you have made a very personal attack on myself in a very public way which is unethical and immoral

What an amazing experience! From start to finish everything was spot on. Booking was easy, the welcome was relaxed and informative. Karen and Dean were so lovely. Its their home and they welcome and trust strangers to stay around their beautiful animals. The alpacas (especially the babies) were brilliant. At times my daughter found it overwhelming because they do congregate around the tents. Once she relaxed and realised they weren’t going to spit on her (everyone told her before we went they would) she was fine. You can buy things made out of the alpaca fluff. Brilliant! We will definitely go again.

I am a busy migrant doctor from India. My family and I do not have much leisure time, so we decided to camp for a weekend at Tickhill Alpacas. Not only is it professionally run by Dean and Karen, they created a safe, wonderful little break for us. It was far nicer than we expected. Dean was exceptionally understanding with the language barrier. Going the extra mile for us. Karen kindly gave my children some Alpaca wool to take home. We definitely recommend Tickhill Alpacas for a fantastic break and we have rebooked. Cant thankyou enough Dean and Karen.

the woman who runs this farm was extremely rude and scammed young teenage girls out of their 150 pound deposit and was extremely hostile towards us on the phone, threatening to take legal action against young teenage girls, disgusting, do better.

These girls stayed the night and on cleaning the next morning they had ripped our tent
On arrival customers are asked to sign that they have read the terms and conditions and understand the terms of the security/damage deposit
Due to the rip in the tent the deposit they paid was withheld
They proceeded to say that they hadn’t done it but the said damage was not there on check in
We did not threaten any legal action but told them to take action themselves if they felt it was unfair .
We only accepted the booking in good faith from 4 18 year old girls but they have then proceeded to say that we should have been checking on them regularly to see if they were ok
We do not interfere with customers and leave them to enjoy their experience when they are here
We were never rude to them at all and we reiterate that we wish there were customer reviews that we could put on !
No one has been scammed at all but in hindsight we should not have taken the booking from young people that cannot behave like young adults and take responsibility for their own actions

got fined for £150 for a rip in the tent we didn’t even do, we have proof and videos of previous rips when we got there, when we tried to adress this the owner was rude and hostile, not willing to talk things out, threatening to take 15 year old girls to her solicitor!!

We were told you were all 17 years old and one was 18 that’s why we took your booking
Under no circumstances would we have taken a booking from a group of children under 16
We are aware of one rip already on the tent window but the rip that you did,the one in question ,we have proof of but you do not .you did not provide any evidence that the rip was not caused by you and therefore your damage deposit of £150 was withheld as per the terms snd conditions of your booking
We have not made any threats .you are the ones that have been calling us at all hours and so this matter has been reported to the police .

Didn't really know what to expect when we took our 5 year okd granddaughter today. But wow. we had a lovely morning walking the Alpacas. The place is tidy and well maintained by the owners Dean and Karen. You can tell they have the welfare of the Alpacas as their priority.
The walk was lovely and not too taxing even for children. Even got chance to feed and pet the animals and didnt feel rushed.
Definitely be back.

We provide a small picnic basket that has everything in it .
There is no running water on site at the moment but there is a portaloo with hand washing for each tent .
