We had a 60 minute Segway adventure which I'd booked for my mum's birthday. Our group was very friendly and we were lucky enough to have only 7 in our group, which meant less waiting around for people to take their turn.
As it was my first time on a segway, I was a bit wobbly and stiff with my technique. The guide, Lauren, was fantastic, taking the time to talk me through my technique and making sure I was ok during the woodland tour.
A great experience and taster session of going on a segway, perfect for beginners! We've got the bug to go back for longer next time!

I can’t recommend this experience enough, we booked the hour experience for a family activity with ages ranging from 16-74 and we all absolutely loved it. It helped that it was a beautiful day . Great introduction with some fun games to get our confidence up and then we went off on a long ride through the woods and along the lake side - really good chance to really go for it. Geoff - our instructor was superb and made the experience really enjoyable , he was great at teaching and had a fab sense of humour . Lots of photos were taken and we were given a chance to buy these but there was no pushing. £20 for all the photos on a usb , a £20 voucher off the next experience and 2 printed photos of our choice which I think is good , especially if you’re in a group. Highly recommended - really well run.

We recieved the Segway Experience at Grafham Water as a Red Letter Days Voucher and to start with, found it fully booked through Autumn right through to late October, but thankfully we had a bright sunny day for it, albeit Cold. The set-up was excellent, well equipped, efficient and friendly. We were given the relevent safety gear and with just a few minutes of instruction - we were off. Everyone enjoyed it and the 30 minutes went by in no time at all. Well worthwhile if you get the right weather.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday from Groupon, so was a cheap deal! For the price I paid I would say it was great, we had a lot of fun.
I paid for an hour however, the first half hour was spent just learning how to use them and training on the segways. The next half hour was just spent in the woodlands going over the same bit of course, I feel it needed to be a little more varied in order to keep in interesting. You then get the opportunity to buy photos at the end which are £20 for all the photos from the day, which is a little expensive given the whole day cost this!
Overall I would say it was fun and would recommend it on the basis of getting it on a good deal like Groupon.

We were given a voucher for this experience as it’s always something we have wanted to try. We arrived around 30 minutes early as requested to be weighed and complete the health and safety paperwork. We had a good opportunity to stand and watch to learn what kind of training exercises you go through. Once we were all ready with helmets etc. we were given a brief introduction in a group of around 10 people. At first, the instructor will stand in front whilst you get used to it and then you are given your own Segway to have a ride around before the training session begins. I actually really enjoyed the training - racing, getting used to riding one handed, hands crossed over and even no hands if you’re brave enough! They have a photographer taking pictures that you can buy at the end. Then you ride around in a group to a woodland course they have set out with a hill, bumps and tree stumps to avoid. It did start to get boring going round and round this so I haven’t given 5 out of 5 as it would be better if this was bigger. Very good fun - an hour was enough for us but a good introduction for first timers!

We went for a 30minute taster session and it was a lot of fun. It's a shame we weren't allowed a bit more freedom but it's definitely made us want to go back for more! Basically had a bit of a practice around a green with some cones then went off around into the woods for a bit. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it.
When we booked it though the person on the other end had dreadful phone manners, but everyone there on the day was very friendly and helpful.

This is one of my least favourite Segway experiences. The hour event ends us with only 20 minutes on a woodland route. It is a very dull, short, winding route, which you go around again and again. There are lots of hazards and coloured discs are laid around the course to help you avoid them. In my view, this is not suitable for first-timers. We had two people fall and the organisers say they have lots of accidents.
A lot of time is spent on learning to use the Segway, including a 'game' which is basically weaving in and out of discs on the ground. Very repetitive and lots of waiting around as people do this one by one. In my view, this is to limit the time in the woods, as there just isn't enough to keep your interest. The training part of this experience takes 40 minutes out of the hour. The description says there are views of the lake... only if you stop and peer through the trees.
All in all, an unimaginative experience, which was more like a corporate event. For those who haven't been on a Segway it can be fun... but there are so many more Segway tours and experiences that far surpass this.

The ages of the group of people ranged from about 18 to late 60's. A lot of time was spent on the safety issues and a range of disciplines to make sure we were competent with the Segways. We ended up with about 20 minutes of actually using the Segway on the woodland course, but this was actually enough as the course was not very big and it would have got a bit boring for longer. Instructor was very encouraging and all staff were very friendly. Everyone seemed to get the hang of the machine pretty quickly. There was quite a big sell on the photo option but for £20 we received 2 photos in a folder with a usb of all the photos and a £20 voucher for another Segway experience. In all a very enjoyable day.

This was chosen for our grandsons as a school holiday treat. They did enjoy the segway.
However it was far too long before they actually went into the tree's to enjoy the experience, which was advertised as a scintilating 60 min experience.
After a the health and safety brief which of course is very important. Then the demonstration and then one by one showing they could manage the segway. (Eventually another person did help with this.) They were then given a segway each
Then they completed the 3 rounds of games, and I guess this was to again get them used to the segway, although everyone seemed quite confident with the machine prior to this.
Then the posing for photo's in different groups and finally the video. The time now was 18:40. Finally they go off into the tree's. At 18:56 they are back
I was not impressed that they actually had 16 mins of activity in the tree's out of what was supposed to be an hours experience, to be ushered over to the photo's and video
We have had this experience with another organiser. Here we were given a segway immediately, the brief was done we practiced for 15mins, and had a very full 45 mins on the segway in the woods.
We are much older than the people who were in your group and still managed to learn to manoeurvre the segway easily after the 15 mins brief
I felt this experience was more about selling photo's and video's than ensuring customers had a great, and value for money experience
Sadly this was dissappointing as they did enjoy the time they had on the segway, I wish I could have given more positive feedback .
I did send an email to the company Segway Events prior to filling in their review form hoping for a reply. However after waiting over 2 weeks, decided to fill in their review form too. I havent received a reply from either

I took my son on this hour long activity. The maximum number of participants was 12 and various conditions need to be met for example their were height and weight restrictions.
The instructors were very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. All safety equipment was provided, as well as a short one to one session for each participant before we played some team games (to get us use to the Segways) after this we set off for the country trail. This was on a course set in a wooded area.
Photos were taken of all participants and these could be looked at after the event and purchased if wanted.
Both my son and I throughly enjoyed this activity and hope to go again.
You do need to pre-book this activity through the Activity Superstore.
