Hi, I am going in late July and would like to take the night canal cruise and see the bridge lights. A few questions need help here.
1) If I take the 8pm - 9pm cruise, will I get to see all the bridge lights lit up?
2) Which cruise company has better route? Does it matter departing from Central Station or near National Museum like Blue Boat?
3) I have a group of 18 people, is it better to make the reservation now?
Thanks.
Hi tchou101,
How exciting that you'll be visiting Amsterdam in July!
1) If you want to go on a canal cruise when it's dark outside, I would recommend you to take the cruise later. In July, the sun will probably set around 9:30-10PM. On the other hand, if you take the cruise at 9PM, you might see a beautiful sunset during your canal cruise :)
2) If you'll be visiting museums or other attractions before your canal cruise, then I'd recommend you to take the canal cruise with Blue Boat Company. The departure location for their Evening Cruise is within walking distance from i.e. the Rijksmuseum, Heineken Experience etc.
3) July is a busy month as everyone has summer holidays. To make sure that everyone can go in the same boat at your desired time slot, it would be best to book in advance.
Best,
