This wine bar is a hidden treasure in the heart of Havelock North tucked behind Malo restaurant. The staff were super enthusiastic and lead us through a very informative wine tasting. We look forward to returning again for a selection of delicious top quality wines.

A smith and Sheth guided wine tasting is a must do!!. Jason guided us through a large selection of wines, with flair, knowledge and enthusiasm, as he clearly loves his job. The wine is fabulous
I’ve been to Smith and Sheth three times for a guided tasting, we are part of their wine club as well.
This is THE BEST tasting experience Hawke’s Bay has to offer.

Fantastic afternoon spent at Smith and Sheth. Jason was an amazing host and guided us through the wines and the history behind them. Will return.

Fantastic experience! The wines were exquisite and so soft on the taste buds. Above all, Mike made my experience worth-while! He elucidated all the facts about each single wine before serving the same. He is an asset to the business and definitely someone who should be cherished for his upbeat personality. Thank you Team, you made my Napier journey an incredible one!

Great little wine bar, very friendly staff. Really nice indoor and outdoor seating. We only stopped in for a wine and a nibble, so did not stay for a meal, but had a great conversation with the host and had an enjoyable hour. Really enjoyed the wine.

Highly recommended. Lovely light food and such knowledgeable staff. The sommelier went out of his way to take us through the CRU’s. Oysters were freshly shucked, big fat and sweet. We ordered 6 wines for delivery to Auckland which they offer for free and we look forward to extending our experience. A little hard to find from the street as located in central courtyard to hotel but worth the effort.

Such an amazing experience we went back 2 nights in a row! Unbelievable hospitality from an incredible staff that are full of passion and knowledgeable as you will find anywhere. Sonya and team were just so welcoming and the food and wines are seriously next level.

For lovers of wine this is next level. Not just a tasting but a fully immersive wine experience. Learn the unique philosophy of Smith and Sheth through stories and audio visual media in a culturally sensitive way. The studio designed to enhance the experience and reinforce the concept of sustainability is very impressive. Their efforts to find the best of the best is reflected in their wines and you will get to enjoy a very special selection. Thanks to Sonja and Mike for your great hospitality and incredible knowledge. We had an amazing afternoon, the stars were certainly aligned for us !

I throughly enjoyed my wine tasting experience in the Heretaunga studio, easily one of the best I have experienced to date. Sonja was superb, her knowledge of the wines and regions was fantastic and she helped create a great atmosphere for the tasting. I have to say the studio was very impressed and was very well designed, it really contributed to a fantastic experience. The star of the show was of course the wines, if you like Pinot Noir or Chardonnay (or both) this is a must, you do also get the opportunity to try a couple of other wines. I have to say I thought the Pinot Noir was fantastic and hearing the story of the vineyard was very interesting. One thing I really enjoyed was been able to try sample of wine from the barrel (and hear it bubbling) and then try the same wine but a year older from the bottle. If you like your wines I would highly recommend this.

What a treasure!
Great service and a great selection of wine at quite reasonable prices (for what they offer).
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
Food options are good (sourced from next door I believe).
Nice surroundings, music at the right level.
