We had a glorious day with Anna Savino during our recent Piedmont vacation. Anna picked us up in Alba and whisked us away for the best day of our vacation, by far. She started out by orienting us to the area with a stop in Barbaresco and all throughout the day she would showus where we were, where we had been and where we were headed and explain how each area differed. The two wineries and the restaurant where we had lunch were all carefully chosen to give us the personal experience we asked for - small, local producers that we would never find on our own. Her knowledge is deep but her enthusiasm and obvious love of what she does is infectious and really made the experience. She also took us to a wonderful bakery in La Morra where they make all sorts of hazelnut goodies and took us by IWS to have our wine purchases shipped. It was a day we will always remember (I suspect our friends are already tired of listening to us rave about Anna).

It is difficult to top all of the other incredible reviews on Anna's page, but I wanted to share our experience so that others can understand just how amazing and unparalleled Anna is in the tourism industry.
My wife and I were supposed to tour with Anna last year but had to cancel multiple times due to COVID. Each time, Anna was not only gracious but was helpful giving us the most up to date information she was hearing about travel restrictions, etc.
Fast forward to this year and we are finally getting to go on the trip we've been so excited for... and unfortunately Anna is hosting wine industry patrons (we booked very last minute).
So why am I writing a 5 star review? Anna not only refunded our entire deposit without question, she then went on to plan and coordinate all of our tastings and lunches! This was no small feat as we were traveling during harvest, and the majority of Piedmont wineries are small family-run outfits that don't host tastings during harvest (we had already contacted multiple and been turned down).
This shows how passionate she is about sharing her love for Piedmont with others in addition to showing how well connected and respected she is amongst the wineries (my Napa connections had actually tried to book tastings for us but were unsuccessful).
I can't thank Anna enough for everything she has done for our trip. If you are going to Piedmont, stop wasting your time looking and book with her. You will not be disappointed.

We had a spectacular two days with Anna exploring the wines of the Barbaresco and Barolo wine regions. Her knowledge of these wines and of wine in general were invaluable to the experience.

Fantastic private tour for 2 days. Anna is best friends with Piedmont. Each winery and restaurant she took us was fabulous.
She knows everyone and everyone knows her :).

Anna really exceeded our expectations of a day spent in Barolo. Even though it was winter she went to the lengths of organising a visit to Paolo Manzone after I mentioned during our correspondence that I was enjoying his wine in Australia
We certainly learnt alot about the wines, the terroir and the weather and really felt like we were in the hands of an old friend . Our lunch was notable that two expert winemakers joined us to share their wine (!) and the fact that the simple cafe turned out to have a young chef cooking like he already had a Michelin star. We caught the train laden with wine and fantastic memories . Thank you Anna

My husband and I had the good fortune of booking Anna as a group tour, but due to the low season wound up having a day to ourselves. Anna was professional, warm, and communicative about what we could expect while listening to our requests. It was obvious that she has built the relationships needed to curate the most authentic and memorable experience for her guests, and that attention to detail along with her pleasant and friendly demeanor the most memorable part of our trip to Italy. Grazie, mille, Anna!

Anna spent two days with us, two couples. She is an American Ex-pat, so we felt she understood us and our wishes. She arranged tours of wineries and tastings at Co-ops. We would never have gained access to the winemakers and wineries on our own. Anna is friendly and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about the region and the varieties and production of the numerous wines. We would highly recommend her. Will definitely refer friends.

Do not look any further for a guide. We hired Anna for a day tour in Barolo. We couldn’t have been more pleased with how it went. Her knowledge of wine, and more specifically, the Barolo region is unrivaled. She was prompt picking us up, and the itinerary was creative, and well planned. Also, we didn’t rent a car while we were there, and we couldn’t secure a driver for our last night and there. So, on her day off, her family drove us to Alba to see the Truffle Festival! You can’t go wrong with Anna, book her early though!

This is a long overdue review of the wonderful time my husband and I had with Anna in June. I generally avoid tours when I travel but a wine tour around Barolo, yes please! We randomly came across Anna's YouTube channel and knew from her videos that we could happily spend a day drinking wine with her.
She promptly picked us up at our hotel and a memorable, sun filled day of wine, cheese, pasta and vineyards commenced. She's incredibly knowledgeable about her wines (as she should be but it still deserves a mention) and presents the info in such a way that it's not overwhelming. So if you're a neophyte or sommelier, you're in good hands. We ended up having a mixed case shipped back and Anna made sure all was in order before we left. A week or so later, Barolo memories arrived at our door all intact.
Contact Anna! You will not regret it

My wonderful wife Karen surprised me with a trip to Italy for my 60th Birthday. Specially a trip to Piedmont’s Barolo area and Alba’s white truffle festival! I am a hugh Barolo fan and collector and Piedmont was at the top of my bucket list.
As a collector I am also very particular about wine touring having traveled to France, Spain, South Africa, Greece and Italy visiting wineries. I have had good experiences and bad and know that a good guide is essential for a truly enjoyable experience. So I began interviewing prospective guides. Rather than bore you, I will just tell you Anna was the most responsive, flexible, patient (I can be obnoxious with wine stuff) and knowledgeable.
She arranged and drove us to 3 wineries in one day and included a fantastic lunch stop where we were greeted by the owner like family and treated to a delicious lunch with rare wine at a unbelievable price!
The day was educational and great fun.
Anna is unique in that she has a very warm personality, as experience by my wife and I, and evidenced by the great relationship she has with the wineries and restaurant owner we visited but also a great understanding and passion for the wine (which is seldom the case) and the Piedmont region.
Using Anna services is a no brainer whether you are a wine touring neophyte looking for a fun time or a serious wine person looking for great wineries and an educational experience!

Buongiorno! Io sono Americana e quindi la maggior parte dei turisti che fanno tour guidate sono stranieri. Però io parlo italiano e mio marito è italiano e lui fa anche tours. Quindi assolutamente non escludiamo italiani! grazie per averci chiesto...

Buon giorno, vorrei trascorrere 4 giorni in piemonte ( dal 9 al 12 ottobre) facendo camminate e visitando aziende vinicole. Abbiamo una bimba di 7 anni che ama camminare ma i perscorsi non dovrebbero essere troppo difficili e con una durata di 3 ore massimo. Vorremmo alloggiare in B&B gestite da persone accoglienti! Se hai qualcosa da propormi, aspetto una risposta al piu presto possibile per potermi organizzare. Grazie
