Fun and educational mine tour

So much fun! Great tour by the owners and the history is very interesting. A lot of classic junk (treasures?) to see. Don’t miss this!!

A treasure hidden in the mountains near Las Vegas

What a great place to visit! A treasure trove of history of this mine and all the "stuff" these owners have collected over the years... from old mining equipment, old cars, unique vehicles and some great old buildings as well as a tour of a mine shaft and how the men actually did the work. Totally worth the 45 minute drive from Vegas!

The people are friendly, the mines are amazing, the site is fascinting. They suggested a quick ride down the road where we saw Lake Mead at its lowest, abandoned hotel. Their site is a museum and their souvenirs and sales items are both beautiful and affordable. Loved this place. Also, their food "truck" is amazing! I give it a 10.

Very quick, and interesting, drive from Vegas - gives you a good perspective of how this part of the country was settled

We had a great time on the Eldorado Canyon Mine Tour. The tour gives you an idea of just how this country was settled, the lengths to which men and women went to pull this country's minerals out of the earth and the hardships they had to endure -- all with the wit of Bruce thrown in to keep it light-hearted! The tour was both sobering and fun. Tough line to walk, but Bruce did it. The whole site is amazingly desolate when you think of it from the era in which it operated -- without air conditioned cars whisking you into and out of the site. When the owner tells you to watch out for cactus and rattlers she isn't kidding. And a quick drive down the mountain takes you to the Colorado River, which was fun. Really gives you a view into the vastness of the country.

The mine tour exceeded our expectations!

The mine tour exceeded our expectations! I was looking for something to do off the strip and came across this. A must do activity while in Vegas especially for families! So much information about this mine and the areas history as well as mining in general. The site and all their buidlings was old time adorable! One of our vacation highlights for sure!

Interesting mix

Arrived 10 minutes late, but it was not a problem. The guide, Bruce invited us to join in and was so funny. His knowledge of the mine is out of this world and there isn’t anything he didn’t seem to know. The mine itself was very interesting. The surrounding area had a very eclectic mix of exhibits. Something very different, but worth a visit.

Really friendly and accommodating. We where a few minutes late but they managed to keep us on the tour. Really friendly staff and helpful. Amazing place to visit.

Great place to visit! Our tour guide, Joebek, was wonderful! He brought tons of knowledge and humor to the tour. The town reminded me of Radiator Springs.

Not worth it

I was very disappointed. For an 80 min tour you spend maybe 20 mins in the mine and only walk through a very small section. The tour guide would rather make endless dumb jokes about where everyone is from than actually give a good tour. Not worth $15
