Interested in how the whole process of growing and making the coffee works? This is for you! We walked up direct to the coffee fields and had a very interesting explanation how the coffee is grown and processed as to get the best flavor and taste. We tried to roast and ground the beans the way local people did it for centuries. Highly recommended.

I was lucky enough to learn about this authentic and amazing coffee tour while sipping on my coffee in Cafe GuateJave in Antigua. A cafe that supports small coffee farmers. Will, the barista, arranged the tour for me.
After the arrival in Escobar, farmer Eduardo showed us the coffee trees. He was very knowledgeable about the coffee growing and making process. Eduardo invited us to his house where his charismatic and adorable wife Franziska roasted the coffee beans for us. She also showed us how to manually grind the beans.
It was an absolute amazing experience, very personal in our small group of three people. At the end we got to take a bag of coffee beans home and I bought a very cool little coffee bag (15q). It feels good to support small businesses and make sure the money reaches the farmer directly without middle man.

we learned a lot about coffee: growing & cultivation, harvest and we even roasted our own coffee! eduardo, a campesino took us to a plantation and explained the whole cultivation process. much more better than at any big coffee plantation. we can recommend the tour 100%

Our experience was amazing. Julio and Hernando took us to their plot of land to see the beans. Hernando taught us a lot of the plants and Julio was an excellent translator. Both were extremely friendly and we got to roast coffee in Julio's place Would recommend this above any other finca tour to get a taste of artisan coffee

We were very lucky to meet a travel agent that highly recommended Cafe entre volcanes as a great opportunity to visit and discover the authentic work of coffee farmers close to Antigua, aside from the big fincas that run like "business". We had a walk around the coffee plantations with Juan Carlo and Julio that are very knowledgable, and eager to share about their work and passion, and we had an amazing time, being able to have a true moment of exchange.
We first visited the plantation, ten collected some beans, and had the experience of the whole process, until we made our own coffee.
Last but not least, their coffee was delicious, and our backpacks are still smelling good from all the coffee we brought back.

Tuve la oportunidad en octubre de ir a visitar el proyecto con mi familia desde Alemania nos encanto mucho la caminata en las faldas del volcan de agua mi hijo de 8 años se lo disfruto como nunca, lo mejor de todo el recorrido fue haber ido a la casa del caficultor y poder vivir la experiencia de todo el proceso de produccion de cafe... cosa que en Alemania no se puede hacer desde la siembra hasta la taza, Me gusto mucho que mi esposo tanto como mi hijo pudieran vivir la experiencia de ver como se tostaba y molia el cafe de manera tradicional es algo que no se ve todos los dÃas.

We took a family Trip to Antigua and decided to take a coffee tour that our friends recommended. This tour is the best I have seen in the whole region. It was fun, interesting, educational and not crowded. We are very happy we were able to support local coffee growers who work hard to produce a superior coffee. Don't miss the opportunity to hear their story. They are the real deal!

We had a great time, the farmers are so friendly and nice, we learned a lot of interesting things about coffee and drank the best coffee ever! A truly unique experience and the plantations have amazing views!

If coming to Antigua Guatemala and are a coffee lover like I am, you should plan on taking a coffee plantation tour. They take you out directly to the coffee plantation and explain the planting process as well as the different type of plants. You then learn how they process the berries into beans and eventually into a steaming cup of delicious coffee. This a very hands on tour compared to others in the area and you even get to roast and hand grind the old fashioned way yourself and is well worth the money spent. It also includes a cup of coffee at the end and a bag of coffee to take home.

I was amazed by this tour, I went with the farmer Gabriel and he was excellent, learned a lot about the coffee process and now I enjoy a proper cup of coffee even more!! Keep on that amazing job Entre Volcanes!
