Great afternoon “messing about on the river!”
Very picturesque and great tip to pop into the Pub for lunch.

We had the best day out on Marlene, we went for the full day, moored up at St Ives and had lunch and then made our way back, fed ducks along the way. The guys were great and very helpful and gave us a map and ideas of where to go. Full instructions of how to operate the locks and he boat itself. The scenery was amazing and we would highly recommend, so much fun!! We will be back

We had a wonderful day out on Uncle Albert! It was just for the 2 of us, so we had plenty of room on the boat which felt extra nice! The scenery a long both ways of the river is truly wonderful, especially having fantastic sunny weather!! The boat ran perfectly! No problems at all! The owner was so kind and friendly and really went out of his way to make you feel comfortable and welcome!! I would highly recommend getting a boat from Lazy Days! You will have a fantastic day out!!

The boat yard is situated on a beautiful stretch of river. We hired Racquel on a hot sunny Sunday and went to St Ives where we moored for an hour plus. Very well organised and information provided about the river and how to drive the boat etc.

Hired a boat for six of us to go down the river to Hemingford Grey for the day. This was a great experience. The weather was kind and the scenery from the river delightful. To get to Hemingford we had to pass through one lock at Houghton Mill which was all very straight forward. The staff are all excellent providing clear instructions and helpful when we returned having lost a phone. The boats have seen better days and definitely aren’t luxury cruisers, but to be fair they are perfectly adequate and it’s less worrying driving something that isn’t pristine and new. Also they are very reasonably priced and it actually works out as a really cheap day out per head. All in all a great experience and a trip I would thoroughly recommend.

We hired Del Boy for the day and the "headline" is that it was a perfect day. We managed to make it to the Old Ferry Inn just past St Ives for lunch then sauntered back.
Was such a lovely river to cruise along saw loads of fish jumping for flies, storks and herons, as well as gulls/ducks/swans/coots/moorhens. The river was quiet and locks were pretty simple to work.
One thing that would have been good to have would have been to have something to hammer into the ground for mooring at the Old Ferry Inn, we had to borrow some from another boat that was there.
Was a relatively quiet day on the river - not many others around - which made it all the better.
The booking in and collection / return was stress-free and efficient and we were on the go about 10 mins after turning up. The staff were knowledgeable and answered any questions we had and we felt that 100% they would do anything for us.
The cost is set well for the day - as the boats are functional rather than anything luxurious, but that was perfectly good for us.
All in all a great day, great boat hire company and a perfect day out for anyone.

Excellent 4 hours poor long along the Ouse. Staff really helpful and explained everything. Nice trip down to Hemingford and back. Will definitely use them again.

Hired Del-Boy for a 4 hour amble down river. Easy to book, friendly and efficient, good hand over and we were away. Plotless down to Houghton Mill, through the lock and on down to Hemingford Lock. Turned around here and back to Godmanchester. Beautiful river, not to busy, other boaters friendly and helpful. Will be using Lazy Days again fi4 a whole day out.

We were very fortunate to have a scorcher of a day and had a fun 4 hours pootling on Raquel. Staff were very friendly and eveything was very professional and well explained so even as complete novices we felt secure. A great way to spend a few hours - being on the river was so tranquil and pretty and you get a different view from the water. We had never done anything like this before, but we would definately do it again!

We had a great day boating on the river in “Boycee”, kids loved it and nobody complained of being bored! We collect boat ahead of our 4 hour hire, Lady in office was lovely and the lad who explained about the boat’s operation, locks, river rules was brilliant. We managed to get through 3 locks (6 there and back), just be mindful of time as we had to race back, well, leisurely glide back, the boats have a speed limiter!
Would definitely recommend for a family day out.

which way is best for scenery etc St Ives or St Neots - we have a day hire

Either is beautiful, towards Godmanchester there is a lock approx 20mins into the journey however towards St Ives the first lock is 45 mins.
