Wij zijn in januari 2012 in Kenia geweest en hebben via deze organisatie een safari van 9 dagen geboekt. Het ging al verkeerd bij aankomst. Ze wilde extra geld en we konden alleen in Keniaanse shillingen betalen terwijl wij vooraf gevraagd hadden of we kostenloos met creditcard konden betalen. Daarbij waren en vooraf hotels afgesproken die volgens hun vol geboekt waren (dat bleek niet zo te zijn) dus probeerde ze ons in goedkopere hotels te zetten. De gids was nors en onvriendelijk. Dagen minder in een park doorgebracht dan afgesproken. Lodges gehad die te smerig waren. Absoluut geen aanrader.

The eight day safari and the trip to Olpajeeta will always remain wonderful with us. Thanks to Albert for chalking out the plan for us. I also must thank Joseph and Paul for the wonderful trip.

My fiancee and I had a custom trip created which the company was able to work with, no issues. George who was our guide and driver made our experience unforgettable. His professionalsim was only matched by his heart and love for his work. His skills as a guide enabled us to learn more about the different parks and reserves we visited. If we had any issues arise during the trip he would get it dealt with or give us the direction to solve the issue ourselves. I am sure that no other guide would of been as good as George and when we book another adventure with this company we will be demanding George as our guide. The experience was made even better because of him and I could not be happier with my experience.

I would like to thank George Oteino for an extraordinary Safari trip through Ambosoli, Aberdare, Nakuru, Naivasha and finally Maasai Mara National Park. We saw all the big five including the Black Rino and many more animals. George has an eyesight like an eagle. He sees animals before us with binoculars.

I had a private solo safari with African Home Adventure Safaris and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Communication and pickup at the hotel were handled very friendly and professionally.
And I had the good luck to have Tom Ogilo as my tour guide. Tom is very experienced in his job and always gives his all.
I felt very save with him as a driver and on the game drives in the parks his knowledge and experience clearly showed (I could see all of the Big Five).
And last but not least Tom is just a very funny and easy guy to have around.
Highly recommended.

Many thanks for deciding to take this adventurous Kenya safari with us. We were equally pleased to handle your inquiry as you gave us an easy time throughout the interaction. The Big 5 is a marvelous spectacle which makes a lengthy safari such as yours worthwhile to undertake.
On top of the Big 5, I am certain that there are more spectacles along the journey that you appreciated. All the destinations featured in your itinerary are brimming with wildlife and picturesque landscapes. As a solo program, you had a lot of personal time with your Guide, Tom; the nice feedback about him surely proves that you were content with his guiding.

This was an awesome experience for the entire family. It was two adults and 3 children (8, 8, 3), and we all had a blast thanks to the magnificent George, our very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and honest tour guide and driver.
George enriched the already jaw-dropping experience in the natural parks with historical and cultural facts, as well as anecdotes that made the whole trip a lot more complete and enjoyable for us.
Wholehearted thanks to him for his valuable help and to Albert at the office for the excellent coordination of the tour.

I am delighted that you enjoyed George's company throughout your safari with him. I might be wrong but he was probably more exhilarated to be with your for the entire period. Wir hatten unglaubliche 8 Tage Safari in Kenia. Als erstes möchten wir uns bei unserem fantastischen Tourguide Alisha Apollo bedanken. Er konnte uns sehr viel über die Tiere, die Natur und die Kultur in Kenia erzählen. Alisha war immer sehr aufgestellt, motiviert und sehr geduldig. Dank seiner Erfahrung konnten wir unzählige, unvergessliche Fotos machen und waren stets zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort, um alle möglichen Tiere zu bestaunen.
Unsere Reisehighligts:
- Amboseli Nationalpark mit den unglaublich vielen Herdetieren und der sehr abwechslungsreichen Landschaft (Wüste, Sumpfgebiete, Graslandschaft, Kilimandscharo), sehr lohnenswert, ein Muss!
- Bootstour Lake Naivasha (Kostenpflichtig), war ganz ok, jedoch kein Muss
- Hell's Gate mit kurzem Spaziergang und eindrücklicher Natur, für einen kurzen Besuch geeignet
- Lake Bogoria ein imposanter, langer See mit millionen von Flamingos und unzähligen heissen Quellen. (Eier kochen sogar möglich), sehr langer und holpriger Anfahrtsweg, allerdings auf jedenfall zu empfehlen.
- Lake Nakuru/Nakuru Nationalpark beeindruckende Landschaft mit Nashorn Sichtung, sehenswert
- Nationalpark Maasai Mara mit bester Unterkunft der gesamten Tour war mit seiner Artenvielfalt beeindruckend. Vorteil gegenüber Amboseli: Offroad fahren möglich, daher sehr nahe an den Tieren. Unzählige Raubtiere. Gehört gewiss zu jeder Kenia-Reise dazu.
Wir empfehlen Home Adventure Safaris jedem weiter. Wir haben nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht.

My mum, sister, and I have had the most enjoyable 11 days in Kenya thanks to African Home Adventure Safaris. From the welcoming staff to the tailored itinerary, our safari experience exceeded our expectations.
Firstly, Albert came to greet us at the airport and made sure we were oriented and gave us a great introduction to Nairobi/ Kenyan culture when we first landed. Next, we were introduced to our tour guide Tom Ogilo, who would be spending the next 8 days with us.
Tom was an incredible guide. He is extremely friendly and loves to share stories. From him, we learned so much about the tribes, culture, politics, education, healthcare, and way of life here in Kenya. On game drives, Tom is highly knowledgeable about the wildlife, habitats, animal behaviours, environments, and can name all the species we encountered. He is a highly skilled driver and clearly passionate about being a tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tom as our guide and can’t recommend him enough! Be sure to request him when booking through this company. :)

Our custom is to ensure that you are well versed with our country through a short briefing before your safari, then through the interaction with your Guide throughout the safari.
So nice to hear that you enjoyed Tom's company while you were together for more than a week. I am pretty sure you learned so much from him just as you have mentioned. Our country is rather unique because of many various reasons; one of them being the unique practices of our Masai tribesmen. African Home Adventures is proof that a safari doesn't have to be exorbitantly priced to be very decent and a lot of fun. We travelled with this company for eight days to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara, and everything about it was excellent.
We booked the safari through Mr. Albert Ouko, who patiently answered our questions over many months even as we checked out other operators. Mr. Ouko offered us a very competitive price, and any apprehensions we may have had quickly disappeared when we saw that our guide, as well as the hotels and camps we were accommodated it, were indeed very good.
Your guide can make or break your safari, and the person assigned to us, Mr. George Otieno, is the perfect balance of seriousness and fun. He is a self-motivated individual who truly loves his job and gets great joy in seeing his customers happy. A fantastic driver no doubt, but he is also full of stories from his many years as a guide. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, and possesses an encylopedic knowledge of the African bush and all its inhabitants. We saw an array of animals during our time there (all except the leopard, actually), and George was at hand to tell us about their lives. Photos are an important part of any safari, and thankfully, George seems to have a working knowledge of photography, always positioning the vehicle in the correct position to get the best shots of the wildlife and landscapes.
A special mention for the Enchoro wildlife camp at Masai Mara. Mr. Ouko insisted on it even when we requested a change, and for good reason. The camp is brilliantly maintained, very close to the gates of the park, and is run by a bunch of ever-smiling individuals who are always happy to help.
I highly recommend African Home Adventures, and if I were to visit Kenya again, I wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with them for another awesome safari.

Lions and cubs within 20 feet of your vehicle, a cheetah and cubs walking next to our rv, Leopard Gorge, the Mara River with its croc's, antelopes, elephants, and even an Aardvark. If photography is your thing, this is the place to be. Game Camps and Resorts are throughout the area. One of note is Mara Bushtops...elegant. 2016
