Dear guest, We appreciate you taking the time to write out a review. However, there are many points that we would have been happy to address while you were here in Tromsø rather than replying to a review on TripAdvisor. Since we do not have your name or the date of the tour that you joined, it´s hard to track down exactly when you joined us. Regarding the weather, this is the biggest aspect of tours here in the arctic and can be very hard to predict as it changes so frequently. If the night looks completely unsuccessful for Northern Lights, we reach out to our guests in advance to advise them to join another day. We also cancel the tour outright if we think there are any safety issues such as extremely strong winds or high waves. This can be seen from many of our other reviews where guests write about us recommending alternative tour dates during their stay with us. Our sailing tours can go out with 1 or 2 team members, the extra member can join to help out with food preparation and briefings, or this can be done by 1 skipper with extra preparation time. However, 1 skipper is more than capable and experienced enough to handle a small group and a sailing catamaran alone. We do encourage all guests to focus on the adventure and sailing part of our tours. We have 5* testimonies here of people not being lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights, but have embraced and enjoyed the experience nonetheless. We do understand that seeing the aurora is the main goal of most people´s trips to the arctic, but expectations must be managed that a natural phenomenon can never be guaranteed. It is really a shame that you left such a cruel review as we care a lot about our guests and would never put revenue before safety. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss this further.

Searching for shooting stars, as well as aurora, is one of my favourite things to do on our Northern Lights Sailing tour!
