Città incantevole architettura unica ben tenuta regale organizzata forse un po' cara in alcuni servizi per il turista (parcheggio, bagni etc). Veramente una perla.

The tour was great, we highly recommend it. Michele took our 2 families to main Perugia attractions, told us very interesting stories - despite hot weather the pace was good and our kids were interested and engaged. In my mind 2 hours is optimal to learn enough about the fascinating story of Perugia. Grazie Michele - you are a great guide!!! Definately worth the money :-)

We ujdertook last minute a private walking tour of Perugia. The owner, Alessandra, received our phone call at her home in off-hours and arranged for tour the following day. Michele was our tour guide. Michele is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He catered to our interests and even deviated slightly from the routine tour to accommodate our personal interests. We were so impressed and pleased with Michele that we took the Assisi city tour with him the following day.

Can’t say enough good things about the walking tour of Perugia we did with Michele. His love and knowledge of his city and region were infective. Beyond the few hours we spent together Michele gave us tips and itineraries for the next few days. We discovered numerous gems off the beaten path that totally made our trip. Thanks Alessandra for helping us arrange the tour at the last minute.

Elisabetta was a terrific guide. She is from Perugia and clearly knows the city very well and her English was excellent. The tour was just our group of two couples.
We toured a family owned workshop that produces and restores stained glass. The workshop itself is historic and the description of their work fascinating. The tour of the workshop was done by the uncle of the woman who runs the workshop.
Then we walked through the city -- with a history tour en route from Elisabetta -- to a textile workshop. The owner of the textile workshop (and museum), Martha, still weaves on a loom from the 18th century and she demonstrated how this is done. The workshop is in an old (the first!) Franciscan Church that has been in her family for some time.
The tour served as an excellent history and introduction to the city of Perugia and the artisan workshops were a special not-your-typical experience. I don’t think we could have had a better guide for this than Elisabetta.

We booked a private tour for 12 people, and I found that the staff at Umbria Con Me were pleasantly open to discussing what we would like to do. We opted not to go to any workshops as we were more interested in history and art, and what was even better was that on the day our guide Antonella was entirely happy to change the itinerary mid-tour, when we heard her description of an early Christian church that we had not known about. So don't worry about having to fix your route absolutely, in advance: talk to your guide.
Antonella was delightful and extremely knowledgeable, and has in fact made that particular church a subject of study and publication, so if early Christianity is your interest, she's the guide for you! But her knowledge was so wide-ranging that in fact there were no questions she could not answer.
I don't know if this is standard, but we started in the Rocca Paolina, and we thought that that was a brilliant beginning point: fascinating, rather startling, not quite like anything we'd seen elsewhere.
Umbria Con Me can recommend places for lunch, and guides will fit around however long you want to spend eating. We took 1.5 hours. But do book in advance.

Appena rientrata da un fine settimana in gruppo, di cui oltre 20 ragazzi sotto i 16 anni. La nostra guida Alessandra è stata a dir poco splendida. Puntuale, precisa, coinvolgente, curiosa e assolutamente preparata. Non avremmo potuto sperare di meglio. Abbiamo chiesto a "umbriaconme" un tour di mezza giornata a Perugia e un tour di mezza giornata ad Assisi. Davvero esauriente, intrigante e appassionante la guida di Alessandra, per grandi e piccoli. Ci sono state date alcune dritte anche per il prosieguo della vacanza.
