Tiny Town is a cute attraction that is worth a short stop. Lots of little buildings that represent Colorado. The coal engine train is $2.00, with a fun caboose for the kids. Snack bar, gift shop and clean bathrooms. Bring a picnic, lots of tables and shade. Cheap and fun.

Fantastic collection of small buildings in Colorado. A vintage small train tours the site, but stops running an hour before closing.

Reasonably priced including the short train ride around the park. The children who were with me were ages 6 and 7 and they had a great time. Very low key and enjoyable.

I am a sucker for these unique places. Plenty of fun photos ops, as you can squeeze into several of the tiny buildings (even @ 6 ft tall). Lots of history here, beautiful location. I am sure perfect for kids, but we also enjoyed as adults. Train is super popular, and you see parts not visible when just walking. $5 plus $2 for tiny steam train ride.

Although upkeep is a little behind the curve, Tiny Town is a must-do with little kids. It's a delight to see their faces light up with wonder at all the buildings made just their size. Terrific for the 3-5 year-old set and quite affordable.

I've always loved a miniature railway and still do.
My kids are 6 and 9 and did enjoy Tiny Town but were getting bored after an hour and a half.
The train is neat and takes 9 minutes, you pay for each time around. The miniature buildings are neat and all especially if you are a front ranger.
Don't plan more than an hour or 2 tops.

Such a great place for both children and adults! It was so cute to see the pure joy of all the children looking in each of the little houses. The prices are very reasonable and the train ride is so much fun for the whole family! It was such a great place to get away to and relax in such beautiful nature. Will definitely be coming again!

The town was adorable and my girls love it. Be aware though that the picnic tables at the front are for people who BUY food only. ELVIRA (her actual name)from behind the consession stand waited until I had my 2 and 3 year old unloaded, lunch out, to come tell us we had to move because I hadn't bought any food. Now there was a sign posted but there were 3 other family's with small children picnicking in the same area. She only asked us to leave because we were in one of her only shaded tables. Those were her words. When I asked her if I could buy something so they could stay she said, "No, I'm nice enough to let people even bring food. I don't have to do that." All other staff was super friendly but next time either tell us before we get unloaded or at least kindly let us know of your polices and let us finish up and be on our way. If you want to be a family friendly establishment you need to be kind and accommodating to families with small children. It is so much work to get your kids happily out the house to only have the place you take your kids for fun make it harder.

My 5 1/2 yo granddaughter LOVED it. Location is close to Denver on west side just 6 miles from C470 off 285. Easy to get to. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived about 2 there was quite a line backed up for the 2 different style trains which were running. So instead we walked along the many tiny buildings. Most were just to look inside but several were big enough to have little ones crawl/walk inside. All were fun to see and photograph. While most could use some repair and fresh paint, none were in really bad shape and their conditions did not distract from our enjoyment at all.
Please heed the request however to keep your rambunctious children from climbing on the smaller buildings. It’s not safe for the kids and definitely not respectful of the buildings.
We were able to get on the very next train when we arrived at the line. It’s about a 10 minute ride. There were 2 different type trains. Even older kids enjoyed the train rides. Overall we stayed about 2 hours as my granddaughter needed to revisit the tiny buildings before we left.
All of the staff was very courteous and friendly. The ice cream was a hit. I particularly liked the root beer float though it was a bit higher priced.
If you are looking for a fun outdoor outing for younger kids that doesn’t cost an arm and leg, this is a fun place. Picnic tables and a playground are available. I loved that the tiny buildings were nestled among the tall pine trees.

Hi, The answer is above, but if you are not from here you may want to know that in the afternoon we often have rain showers so earlier is better!

Is the railroad powered by diesel or steam?
Dave J
Denver21 bijdragen
When the steam engine has pulled its last train for the day, we cut the engine off from the rest of the train, and usually bring one of the diesel engines to couple on to the train for the last trip or two. Then we drive the steam engine around the track, but this time throwing the switch to bring it to the roundhouse spur track, and park it over the ash pit.
